Join US for two weeks of FREE, ecologically themed activities, workshops and talks for all ages, plus a daily meal, aimed at supporting The Somerville in becoming a Community Hub.
On Saturday 21st March we will be launching the new Upcycling Academy.
On Saturday 28th March, an afternoon of workshops and stalls for the whole family.
Book events in advance as places are limited. www.telegraphilfestival.org.uk.
Donations welcome. Paper programmes available at selected local venues.
Have a look at the events planned for the first day of the festival (Saturday 14th March) at The Somerville Youth & Play Provision.
At 2pm we kick off with Climate Fresk, a collaborative game that seeks to raise public awareness and give a greater understanding of the reasons for, and consequences of, climate change. Booking recommended.
This event acts as a great introduction to the next event at 5.30pm, where Dr Gail Bradbrook, co-founder of Extinction Rebellion, will talk about ways in which we can make our communities more resilient. Booking for this event is strongly recommended.
At 6.30pm there will then be a vegan meal available (booking essential to gauge food quantities) followed by a green networking evening hosted by SELCE at 7.30pm, where we will get the chance to hear about different local initiatives and meet other likeminded people. All welcome. There will be a bar throughout the event.
